EXHAUST

As of production date february 1999 (framenumber ZD4ME...X.......) the mille has a new exhaust system, with removable reduction. This reduction is located in the muffler and is spotwelded.
The muffler has two exit pipes with a 29mm diameter. This muffler is recognizable from the "R" stamped into the mounting point (wheel side). This muffler is installed on all models starting 1999. See picture below.
The 1998 production (framenumber ZD4ME....W.....) is equipped with a muffler with 29mm outlets without restriction. Exceptions to this rule (outlet diameter 25mm) :
72 kW version for Germany and Belgium (frame number ZD4MEA00.....)
78 kW version for France (frame number ZD4MEC00.....)
